Croxteth Hall and Country Park

Visit historic Croxteth and take a peek around the former home of the Earls of Sefton with a trip to Croxteth Hall & Country Park.

Croxteth Hall and Country Park is one of Liverpool's most important heritage sites, one of "the finest working country estates in the North West" and - with our events and education programme - helped make Liverpool a winner of the European Capital of Culture 2008.

The estate has four main attractions - The Historic Hall, Croxteth Home Farm, the Victorian Walled Garden and a 500 acre country park including Croxteth Local Nature Reserve. A new addition to what's on offer at Croxteth is the West Derby Courthouse. Dating from the reign of Elizabeth I, this is one of the oldest public buildings in Liverpool.

The Garden also displays Liverpool’s historic Botanical Collection in its greenhouses. The Country Park, with woodlands, ponds and pastures to walk around, is free (as is car parking). If you wish to visit all four areas you can make savings with a Saver or Family ticket. There is also a miniature railway, a working farm with plenty of farmyard animals, 3 adventure playgrounds, nature reserve, model railway, riding centre and Aerial Jungle Parc.

  •  Open 10.30am to 5pm April to September. For more information please contact 0151 233 6910 or visit www.croxteth.co.uk
  • Approximate walking distance from the hotel - 1hr 48 minutes (5.4 miles)
