The Beatles
The Beatles were an iconic English rock band who formed in Liverpool in 1957. The band consisted of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr, all of whom resided in Liverpool at the start of their pop career.
After developing their live set on the emerging
Merseybeat scene and through frequent trips to the German city of
Hamburg until the mid-1960s, the Beatles conquered The United States
which was followed by a sustained touring. The band experienced a period
of unprecedented international success and popularity, bordering on
hysteria, which became known as Beatlemania.
With innovative
music and a cultural impact that helped define the 1960s, the Beatles'
influence is still being felt around the world 40 years from their
split. Liverpool in particular plays a huge part in the legacy of the
Beatles and has become a Mecca for Beatles fans worldwide. With a

The Beatles Story unfolds through an audio guide
narrated by Julia, John Lennon's sister. The tour is available in
English, French, Japanese, German, Spanish, Italian, Polish and Russian,
allowing fans from around the world to delve deep into the lives of the
fab four.
- The Beatles Story takes place at two sites – The Albert Dock and the Pier Head in the Mersey Ferry Terminal.
- The Beatles Story benefits from a Childrens discovery zone, themed-starbucks cafe and merchandise store.
